Upcoming Events:

  • NESRM (Virtual) Annual Meeting, October 13, 2021
    • Our 2021 Annual Meeting and Technical Training has been changed to a virtual meeting. This comes after much deliberation and discussion with the council and others. With many members being unable to attend in person, and the potential financial losses to the Section with lower attendance due to health mandates, this is our direction.
    • If you have already booked a hotel room, please check with the Hyatt to make sure your room is cancelled, however, they were going to cancel the block of rooms.
    • The good news is that we are still having a 1-day virtual meeting on Oct. 13! The day before will be the Advisory Council Meeting likely via Zoom. More details will follow as we transition this all to a virtual platform.
    • We are still in need of High School Youth Forum as well as undergraduate and graduate student presentations so please reach out to those interested.
    • If you have any questions, please contact me.
    • Thank you and I look forward to seeing you all at a great virtual meeting in October!
Brad Schick – NE Section SRM President Elect
  • 75th Society for Range Management Annual Meeting, Feb. 6-10, 2022, (Albuquerque, NM)

  • Award Nominations:
    • We are seeking nominations for the upcoming Oct. 13 virtual meeting. There are generally three awards presented at the meeting, the Rangeman’s Award, Range Management Service Award, and the Outstanding Young Range Professional. The criteria for each award can be found in the NE SRM Constitution/Bylaws/ Handbook in Article VII on Page 7 and past recipients of each award can be found on page 24 under the History tab on the section website.
    • Please email nominations as quickly as possible so that selections can be made. The deadline for nominations is September 27, 2021.
